The demand for electricity in our province has set new records these days because of the high temperature. Yesterday, the strongest heat wave this summer hit Zhejiang. The highest power workload reached 42,044 kilowatts, setting a new record.
The provincial electric power corporation has issued notices to local electric bureaus to strictly control power load according to electricity quota. Peak electricity generation by oil burner units should be started when necessary. The safety operation of the grid must be ensured to satisfy the civilian and industrial demand for electricity.
