IOT Industry in Jiaxing Starts its Navigation

Famous Experts in Internet of Things (IOT) from USA, EU, Japan and South Korea, Chinese scholars and experts in IOT, heads of IOT related enterprises and internet dealers attended International IOT Application Promotion Conference in Jiaxing on Oct. 28. Meanwhile, China-Russia New Energy and Material Symposium was held in Jiaxing, one activity of 2010 China (Zhejiang) International Science and Technology Cooperation Conference. These two conferences are one part of 2010 Staring South Lake Talents and Technology Symposium.

Jiaxing has taken a lead in the development of IOT industry in China. Jiaxing Centre of Wireless Sensor Network of Chinese Academy of Sciences was jointly established by Shanghai Institute of Micro-system and Information Technology (SIMIT) and Jiaxing Municipal Government in 2004. At present, Jiaxing takes a lead in China in the standards and patents of IOT and has made important achievements in key technology of wireless sensor network. Jiaxing Centre occupies 30% of patents related to IOT in 2009, ranking first in China.

It is learned that according to the future development strategies of IOT, Jiaxing IOT will take its shape with the creation of Jiaxing Academy of IOT, the base of IOT industry, intelligent power grid, IOT-based digital platform of produce and their circulation, environmental monitoring and control system, and danger sources monitoring and control system. A batch of IOT-related operating and equipment manufacturing enterprises are expected to be cultivated. All this will form an IOT industry chain including sensors, communication end, system integrity and operation in Jiaxing.
