Over one hundred pieces of precious ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting, mostly private collections within China, have been brought together in Hangzhou. Classic Elegance Grand Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Painting , to be opened on November 19, is a high-taste art festival and is also the largest gathering ever of private collections of calligraphy and painting.
The Collected Works of the Grand Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Painting was first released on November 11. This collection includes 150 masterpieces of representative painters of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. National treasures like Ma Yuan s Wang Hong Presenting Wine and Zhu Yu s Play of Lanterns , both of the Song Dynasty, are now back home in Hangzhou after being away for one thousand years.
