He Guiling, president of Guangdong Footwear Manufacturers Association, said on the press conference of Fifth Shoe Culture Festival held in Guangzhou city on December 16, 2010 that Guangdong is a largest footwear processing base and trade center in China with dozen footwear producing concentrated areas and wholesale trade markets, the completed establishment in footwear industrial chain has maintained footwear strong competition in the world.
He said the value for shoe exports amounted to US$32.2 billion during the first eleven months that are much higher than year earlier, and the exports in volume reached 5 billion pairs of shoes, accounting for half of national footwear production and one third of world production.
