Nike: Revenue from Greater China up 20% in Q2

NIKE, Inc., one of the most renowned sportswear makers in the world, unveiled its financial report for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2011 today, saying that revenue from the Greater China operation expanded by 20% year on year to USD 482 million in the three months ended November 30, 2010.

Revenue from shoes products climbed 26% from a year ago to USD 264 million; from clothes, 12%, USD 191 million; and from sports accessories, USD 27 million, 17%.

NIKE said that it would possibly see an 18% year-on-year growth in order value from the Greater China operation from December 2010 to April 2011. The US-based company reaped operating revenue of USD 4.842 billion in the quarter, up 10% from the comparable period of the previous fiscal year. Net profits, in the meantime, hit USD 457 million, jumping 22%.
