Fujian sets pollutant cutting target for leather sector

The reducing emission plan in leather sector for 2011-2015 is issued nowadays in Fujian province, which is the most severe measure to cut emission in leather sector.

According to the plan the industry should cut Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) by 40%, Ammonia nitrogen and nitrogen oxide (NH3N) by 36% in 2015 compared with 2008.

The reducing pollutant plan in leather industry is part of provincial reducing emission program, Fujian provincial government urges the industry to control the pollutants discharge in accordance with the plan, the provincial authority will launch the overall inspection in 2011, 2012, 2015t to check the fulfillments.
