The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People s Republic of China has launched a standard GB 25036-2010 for children s canvas rubber footwear.
STANDARD SCOPE
This standard is applicable to Children s Canvas Rubber Footwear (shoes) for sizes 245 and below, whose uppers are textile and whose soles are rubber or other elastomer. The standard provides definitions, categories, requirements, testing methods, labeling requirements, packaging requirements and information about transportation and storage.
Products covered by the standard are divided into two categories:
Type A: infants canvas rubber soled footwear (ages 36 month infants, with shoe size not >170) and Type B: Canvas and rubber shoes for older children (>36 months<14 years)
