Continuing improved of quality management helps the footwear industry grow fast in Quanzhou city, shoe exports in the city exceeded US$2.9 billion in 2010 that represents half of footwear export in Fujian province and 10% of national exports, average unit price was up 21.3% year on year. In recent years Quanzhou government attached an importance to establishment of quality inspection system to improve the quality of footwear, properly coping with trade barriers and earning good reputation in overseas market. Now Quanzhou has 200 foreign export enterprises got the certificates of ISO9001 and ISO1400, and eco-products certificates, some of them gained the certification of SATRA and CQC. 11 brands of sports shoe in Quanzhou took the honor of National Brand Product that confers to 15 sports shoe brands national wide so far.
