Laoting County in Hebei province is known as rare animal farming town in China, 169,600 farmers that accounts for 40.93% of population in the county engage in rare animal farming. The animal farming creates 861 million yuan production value for the county each year.
The fur-bearing animal breeding has become a feature industry in Laoting County due to their cost efficiency and less environmental requirements on raising. 5.24 million pieces of various sorts of fur skins can be produced each year, which has ranked national first in numbers of breeding.
A fur skins trade building has put into use with the costs of 30 million yuan in investment and business area of 14,000 square meters, trade volume reaches 600 million yuan in the market. The industry brings income to local farmer at growth rate of 30% year on year.
