The first Leather Fashion Design Association is officially founded on March 2, 2011 in Haining city, Mr. Zhang Sifeng, a renowned fashion designer, was appointed as the first term of presidency of the association, Haining China Leather Marketing President Ren Youfa was named as honorary president.
Ren Youfa said on the opening ceremony there are nearly one thousand designers serving for leather sector in Haining city, they are playing a leading role on the fashion trend of Haining leather, noted that the establishment of fashion association is good news for leather designers that provides a channel to sever enterprises and update their products on designing.
In order to take the leading role on fashion trend, Haining has opened a Brand and Trend Center in Haining Leather Market, which combines the functions of design and research, fashion show and release, and brand creation.
The association announced a training program and decided to send designers to learn in France, the association hope to build an excellent designing team working for leather industry in China and change the weak situation in leather fashion field.
