Shoemakers in Ningbo hail the end of EU anti-dumping

The final conclusion of anti-dumping duty on Chinese shoe comes at March 31, which officially announced by EU Committee nowadays. Off course it is goods news for Chinese shoemakers.

20.8 million pairs of leather shoes through the Ningbo port were exported to EU in 2010, said a customs official in Ningbo city. Leather shoe exports to EU fell by 8.37% to 3.672 million pairs in the first two months of this year over the earlier year, according to the customs.

Ningbo port has grown into an important export base for shoe products, 1.45 billion pairs of shoes were exported through the Ningbo port in 2010, which increased by 27.9% with value of US$ 4.86 billion. Majority of shoemakers in provinces of Fujian, Guangdong provinces and the cities of Shanghai, Wenzhou and Taizhou rely on the Ningbo port for exports of their shoes.
