Grain futures were mostly higher Tuesday as the dollar index, a pro-rated measure of the dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.05 percent.
Corn was up 2 3/4 to up 4 3/4, soybeans were up 8 3/4 to up 11, wheat was off 3/4 to off 4 1/2 and oats unchanged to up 3 3/4.
Corn prices rose modestly for the second consecutive trading session on a light buying day that included reports from beneficial rains in Argentina's weather forecasts. Wheat futures dropped as increased moisture in the Midwest improved outlooks for winter wheat. Soybeans found support from dry conditions and a strike in grain processing plants in Argentina.
