Grain futures were mostly higher Monday despite the dollar index rising 0.29 percent.
Corn was up 1 3/4 to up 3, soybeans were up 15 3/4 to up 16 1/2, wheat was up 12 to up 13 1/4 and oats off 1/4 to up 4.
Corn prices rose modestly as traders considered reports of ice on northern delivery rivers slowing barge traffic. Wheat futures rose as continued reports of dry weather in winter wheat areas raises concern about supplies for 2011. A La Nina weather pattern is adding beneficial rains to some of Argentina's soybean growing areas, although reports say the largest soybean region remains dry.
