China's Health Ministry explained that the tiny amount of radioactive particles, blown by the wind from the crippled Japan nuclear reactors to China's northeastern Heilongjiang Province, is of trivial radiation, and won't pose any harm to people's health.
The Ministry, based on the radiation concentration data from National Nuclear Emergency Coordination Committee, has assumed that even if the current dosage one hundred thousand times lower than normal, is getting accumulated, the yearly dosage for local residents would be still far from harmful, let alone the current concentration would not last long concerning the winds.
Cai Jianshe, the deputy director in charge of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center under Ministry of Environmental Protection, drew the same conclusion yesterday.
At the same time, monitoring data and according analyses from authorities, including State Oceanic Administration, Beijing chapter of environment emergency response center under the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) AND International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the environmental protection department under National Nuclear Safety Bureau, has all indicated that Chinese domestic public health has not been affected by the Fukushima nuclear crisis.
Japan ship departed, radiation in Xiamen shows normal
Official monitoring date from the Xiamen municipal Bureau of Environmental Protection shows normal of the radiation dose rate, which means the ship, detected on March 22 as of radioactive abnormalities when entering Xiamen port the China's southeastern key port, has left Xiamen without finishing the Entering Port formalities and is now on its way to Japan.
On finding the abnormalities, official organized an expert team to take the on-site sampling, and installed an automatic monitor specifically to detect the absorbed dose rate of radioactive atmosphere. All the findings by March.27 shows normal.
No need to panic, basic detoxification therapy enough
Health ministry has also suggested the public unnecessary to get radiation check or take other professional protective measures such as stay in covered shelter, wear the surgical masque, or take the iodine tab.
The spokesman of Health Ministry Deng Haihua said that by March 24, the officially assigned public health services had done radiation pollution check to 151 people. All three found abnormal had already got professional detoxification treatments. And, they will not do any harm to public health.
Radiation pollution check available as public health service
Public are now able to get professional radiation pollution checks at 66 officially assigned health institutions. The 66 are known as professionally certificated for radiation pollution detection and strong medical treatment capacities. Consult details via local 12320 hotlines and the officially released hotline list.
