Pfeiffer Vacuum Introduces New OmniStar Gas Analysis System

Pfeiffer Vacuum, one of the world's leading producers of vacuum products and services, introduces the new OmniStar gas analysis system. It offers precise monitoring of up to 128 gases and is faster, smaller and easier to use than previous models. The bench-top OmniStar has a 20% smaller footprint than our proven, industry-leading model, measuring only 12" x 22", saving valuable lab space. In addition, it is ten times faster allowing rapid tracking of transient events. OmniStar features Quadera , a new and more intuitive software tool and fast Ethernet connectivity for easy network integration. With the capability of measuring from ppb (parts per billion) to percent concentrations, OmniStar is ideally suited for chemical, semiconductor, industrial, metallurgy, fermentation, catalysis, fuel cell, laser and environmental applications.
This new OmniStar mass spectrometer provides continuous measurement of gases with unrivaled precision and is suitable for both qualitative and quantitative gas analysis. Even with condensable gases, low detection limits can be easily determined. OmniStar is a turnkey integrated system using durable, field-proven Pfeiffer Vacuum components, assembled in the U.S. and backed by Pfeiffer Vacuum s world-class service and support. The analysis system consists of a heated and temperature-regulated gas inlet system, a PrismaPlus mass spectrometer, a dry diaphragm vacuum pump and HiPace turbopump. OmniStar covers the mass ranges of 1 to 100 amu, 1 to 200 amu and 1 to 300 amu. A 2-Stage capillary gas inlet enables a virtually segregation-free gas sample, while a pressure-regulated gas inlet is optionally available for analysis of samples at varying pressures. The standard unit features a stainless steel capillary, which can be heated up to 200 C (option for 350 C) by means of a heating hose, preventing condensation during analysis. OmniStar is rack mountable and features front panel control and diagnostics for simpler use and troubleshooting.
Pfeiffer Vacuum, Inc., develops, produces and markets key components for vacuum technology used in semiconductor fabrication, solar, optical and thin film deposition, for flat panel displays and TV monitors, analytical instrumentation, high-energy physics, and research and development. Pfeiffer Vacuum offers an extensive range of vacuum pumps, vacuum gauges, leak detectors, mass spectrometers and accessories such as valves, fittings and flanges.
Pfeiffer Vacuum North American operations offer marketing, sales, field services, repair, customer training, and applications and support. Sales and support functions are located throughout the U.S. with a major customer support center in Milpitas, California.
