China will increase its target for solar power capacity by 2020 from the previous 20 gigawatt goal after the nuclear accident in Japan, Reng Dongmin, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission s center for renewable energy development, said at a conference in Beijing today.
The new target is still under discussion, Ren said.
