Gintech Energy Corp. rose to the highest level in five months in Taipei trading after President Wen-whe Pan said product prices may gain through the first half and that international prices will probably climb about 2 percent each month.
Gintech, Taiwan s second-largest solar-cell maker, gained 2.9 percent to NT$96.50 as of 12:09 p.m., set for the highest clos since Sept. 15. Motech Industries Inc., the largest, increased 3.6 percent to NT$131, the highest level since Sept. 15.
