Yingli Green Energy starts 150-MW silicon ingot plant in Hebei

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd, one of the leading vertically integrated photovoltaic product manufacturers in China, has kicked off construction on a 150-megawatt silicon plot plant in Hengshui Economic Development Zone, Hebei Province, said Public Relations Manager Wang Zhixin.

The plant, which will cover a land area of around 500 mu and will cost RMB 1.4 billion, is part of a large photovoltaic project.

The large PV project will cost a total of RMB 5.2 billion and is designed to have an annual output capacity totaling one gigawatt of silicon ingots, chips and solar cells, sources reported.

In addition, Yingli Green Energy on Mar. 19 completed construction on a 5-MW PV project, which has an annual power output capacity of 6.26 GWh, in Baoding, Hebei Province.
