China plans to build ten extra large coal enterprises with 100 million tons of capacity and ten with 50 million tons of capacity by 2015, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing Zhang Guobao, director of the National Energy Administration, as saying on Monday.

Zhang said in a statement that China will also build 14 large-sized coal bases, and their outputs will account for 90% of the nation's total coal production by 2015.

Reportedly, China will integrate coal mines in Shanxi Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, as well as other new mines.
