China Resources Power Holdings Co Ltd, a subsidiary of conglomerate China Resources Holdings, saw its electricity sales total 9,610 gigawatt hours in Dec last year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 13.9% from 8,430 GWh, according to a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In 2010, the company sold 95,190 GWh of electricity, 26.5% more than the 75,250 GWh it sold in 2009.
The power firm's installed capacity is expected to reach 22 GW at the end of this year from 19 GW at the end of 2010, said BOC International (China) Ltd that offers investment banking and securities brokerage services.
China Resources Power said its net profit for the first half of last year rose 8.5% due to an increase in electricity sales amid the recovering Chinese economy, China Knowledge reported earlier.
