By 2015, State Grid will finish the backbone grid of "Three Vertical" and "Three Horizontal" UHV Project and 11 HVDC Transmission Project: the wind power and coal power from Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Hebei will transmit to the north, central and eastern China through "Three Vertical" UHV channel; the northern coal power and the southwest hydropower will transmit to the North China, Central China and the Yangtze River Delta region through "Three Horizontal" UHV channels to ensure electricity supply in the country.
At that time, State Grid's cross-country network resources capacity will reach 250 million kilowatts by increasing of more than 5 times, greatly resolves the current tension of coal and electricity.
