China's largest offshore oil producer Cnooc Ltd and State-owned Ghana National Petroleum's $5 billion joint bid to buy US-based Kosmos Energy LLC's stake in one of Africa's most promising oil regions has been aborted, a GNPC official was quoted by the Wall Street Journal as saying Monday.
GNPC Chief Geophysicist Gabriel Osatey said that the bid was rejected by Dallas-based Kosmos, according to the Journal.
