Good news for bargain hunters the 12-day 2010 "Happy Guangzhou" Chic Spring Shopping Festival will open at Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center on January 8. The festival will offer more than 10,000 varieties of garments, footwear, headwear, foodstuffs, and daily necessities. There will also be Vina coffee from Vietnam and hand-made candies from Sichuan. Visitors to the festival will enjoy one-stop shopping services.
The shopping festival will be sponsored by Guangzhou Commercial Federation and staged by Hong Kong Lingxiu International Exhibition Group. It will fill up 1,000 standard booths on a floor area of nearly 20,000 square meters at Halls 14 and 15 in Area C in Pazhou Exhibition Hall Phase II. More than 10,000 varieties of goods in six categories, including garments, accessories, footwear and headwear, foodstuffs and daily necessities, will be on offer. Many of these goods are specialty commodities never sold in Guangzhou before.
Organizers say that the shopping festival will help shoppers to cut spending costs by 20% as the prices of many goods will be discounted.
