The annual flower markets which have become a tradition in Guangzhou will open next month in the districts of Yuexiu, Liwan, Haizhu, Tianhe, Huangpu and Baiyun. Most will only last 3 days, from the February the 11th to the eve of the Lunar New Year which falls on February 14th. The market in Huadu district however will start on February 4th.
Due to ongoing construction at the Tianhe Sports Centre, the Tianhe flower market shall be moved to Tianhe Park. What's more, as the first day of the spring festival will coincide with Valentine's Day, roses are expected to sell extremely well this year.
