On the evening of January 7, Guangzhou Mayor Zhang Guangning met with Si Zefu, General Manager of Dongfang Electrical Corporation, and his associates. During the meeting, Mayor Zhang stated nuclear power, a clean form of energy, is one of the world's most promising industries and in line with Guangzhou's industrial transformation and upgrade.
He expressed his hopes that Dongfang Electric will seize the opportunities and tap its advantages in modern advanced manufacturing industries, and vigorously grow its advanced equipment manufacturing operations, in order to strive for greater operating results.
Mayor Zhang also pledged that Guangzhou will continue to facilitate the growth of Dongfang Electric and domestic and overseas enterprises based in the city, create the most favorable conditions for their development, and build a nuclear power industrial chain in partnership with Dongfang Electric with the aim of securing win-win results.
Si Zefu thanked Mayor Zhang for the vigorous support that his corporation has received from Guangzhou. He stated that Dongfang Electric is full of confidence in its development prospects in Guangzhou, a fertile land for business development. He announced that Dongfang Electric will adjust and optimize its industrial structure, cooperate with Guangzhou in more sectors, take steps to improve its industrial chain, and make greater contributions to Guanzhou's industrial upgrade and transformation and the city's economic development.
