Baiyuan Airport Ranked among Global Top 20

According to the latest rankings released by the Airports Council International, the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is the world's 20th largest airport in terms of passenger traffic. This means that the Baiyun Airport has joined the ranks of the world's top aviation hubs and become one of the fastest growing airports.
The Baiyun Airport has maintained a steady growth in recent years. It handled 15.01 million passengers in 2003, ranking 70th worldwide, and recorded 37.04 million passengers in 2009, ranking 20th airport. It has moved up 50 places in the global rankings in just six years.
The airport's passenger traffic this year is expected to exceed 40 million as the Asian Games will lead to an influx of visitors to Guangzhou.
