Garbage classification, underground space development, and government investment auditing will all have specific rules and regulations this year.
The Executive Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Government has published a list of government rules and regulations which will be formulated in 2010. There are 13 sets of rules and regulations on the list.
In addition to the regulations on garbage classification, which will be formulated by Guangzhou's Urban Administration Committee, administrative regulations will also be formulated for the auditing of government investment projects, the supervision of production safety, the supervision of the quality of live pig products, the filing of information for administrative purposes, and the development and utilization of underground space.
The responsible government agencies will work out a detailed timetable for the formulation of the planned regulations. The timetable will be submitted to the city's Legal System Office by March 20. The drafts of the regulations will be completed by the end of September and submitted to high-level authorities for review. The drafts will be finalized by the end of the year. Government agencies responsible for drafting the regulations are required to submit a written report to the Legal System Office to explain the situation if they cannot produce a draft on schedule.
