Li Yue, the Deputy Director General of the Guangzhou Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation explained to European companies in what way and in which industries Guangzhou is an attractive place for investment. He explained that the major industries in Guangzhou are electronics and IT, communication equipment, computer and accessories, electronic components, household audio-visual equipment, and electronic appliance.
Sophisticated infrastructure is in place to facilitate foreign investments. Guangzhou's airport ranks top 20 in the world, Guangzhou Port is in the top 10, and a high speed train network 350km per hour Wuhan-Guangzhou Express Railway is growing up.
Two European companies, one from Spain and one Germany, shared their experience investing in the PRD. Later during the day, participants traveled to the Nansha Development District and visited several companies there.
