The construction of China's first infant nutrition research center kicked off on June 1 in Luogang District. The 140-million-yuan project, financed by Mead Johnson, will cover an area of 2,200 square meters and have a gross floor area of 5,000 square meters. This research facility, a collaborative project between industry and academia, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011. It's set to become China's first infant nutrition center wholly owned by a baby formula milk brand.
The center will draw upon Mead Johnson's newest research findings and team up with top research institutes around the world to study nutrition for Chinese infants.
