The Guangzhou Municipal government yesterday kicked off construction on a pharmaceutical logistics center that will cost RMB 4.17 billion and will be locate in Liwan District of the city, sources reported.
Upon the completion of the construction, around RMB 100 billion is estimated to be brought from the huge project.
The base, which covers a land area of 730,000 square meters and will have a floor area of 1.5 million sq m, is designed to include properties for logistics of medical apparatus and instruments, research and development, medicine inspection and exhibition.
Huang Huahua, governor of Guangdong Province, said that the center is the only large pharmaceutical logistics project approved by the State Food and Drug Administration and is expected to be the biggest one in South China.
