Hundreds of middle school students from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan gathered at China Hotel in Guangzhou on Wednesday (July 14) to attend a "Hand in Hand" party in honour of the 16th Asian Games this November.

Lin Yuanhe, Chairman of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), addressed the party. The students put on a variety of performances.
In the next few days, the students will visit some famous historic places in Guangzhou, including Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Chen Clan Academy, Huanghuagang Mausoleum of 72 Martyrs and the remain of Huangpu Military Academy.
The event is co-hosted by the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs of the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, Taiwan Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangzhou Youth Federation with the support of the Games Communication & Promotion Department of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC).
