After a one-week trial, six 18-meter long BRT buses are now officially operating on the BRT route B1. Running from 7:05 to 8:28 every day, buses commute between Huangcun and Tianhe Sports Center with an interval of 5 minutes. The first day they operated, they carried over 1,500 passengers.
These super-long buses operate together with the normal 12-meter BRT buses. For now, the 18-meter long vehicles only run during peak hours but traffic authorities hope to see them running all day in the near future.
