Delegation from Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee visits Guangzhou

Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) extended warmly welcome to a 50-member participating delegation of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, led by Lin Hong-Dow, Vice President of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and Chef de Mission of the participating delegation, at Guangzhou Asian Games Sports and Culture Centre on July 27.

The delegation said they had full confidence in the success of an extraordinary Asian Games in November as Mr Gu briefed them of the latest progress during Games preparation period, and the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee promised to best prepare their participating team for the upcoming Games based on policies and procedures issued by GAGOC.

The three-day visit concluded with a tour to the Asian Games venues, including the Tianhe Sports Centre, Guangdong Aoti Sports Centre and Athletes' Village of the Asian Games Town, as the delegation spoke highly of the construction of the venues as well as other preparation work for the Games, from which they said they had quite a lot to learn.
In the end, the Chinese Taipei delegation expressed wishes to further communications with mainland China, and expected fruitful results at the Guangzhou Asian Games.
