The Guangzhou Asian Games Town, the largest venue built especially for the Guangzhou Asian Game, is now completed and was delivered to the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee yesterday (August 31). Top government leaders including Guangdong governor Huang Huahua and the secretary of the Guangzhou CPC Committee Zhang Guangning attended the handover ceremony.
Located in southern Guangzhou, the site of the Asian Games Town covers 2.73 square kilometers. It consists of seven major parts, including the Athletes' Village, the Technical Officials' Village, the Media Village, the Main Media Center, the Logistics Area, the Gymnasium, and the Asian Games Park.
