The world s third largest 3D LCD panel manufacturing company, AU Optronics Corporation from Taiwan, announced yesterday (August 31) in Guangzhou that the largest 3D TV in the world shall go on sale in Guangzhou in the coming months. The company hopes this 65-inch TV will help them gain 50% of the 3D TV market in Chinese mainland.
Many Japanese and Korean brands such as Samsung, Panasonic, and Sharp have announced the launch of 3D TV in Chinese mainland. But with Taiwan companies offering lower prices, a severe price war shall no doubt erupt next year.
