The four-day Guangzhou Fair 2010 closed on August 29. On its last day, the fair saw an influx of bargain hunters. At the agricultural produce area, many shelves were emptied.
According to the organizers, the fair saw the conclusion of a significant number of deals. Statistics show that the fair attracted a total of 290,000 visitors from across the world. The fair featured a total of 240 investment projects, worth RMB 158.76 billion (including foreign capital of US$ 199 million). Investment deals that were made at the fair are valued at RMB 10.6 billion, 3.3% more than last year. Trade contracts worth RMB 59.2 million and letters of intent on trade worth RMB 54 million were signed. Retails hit RMB approximately 4.6 million.
