Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport said first half net profit grew 7.9 percent year-on-year to 270 million yuan, reports 163.com, citing a company filing.
Its competitors, Beijing Capital International Airport and Shanghai International Airport reported first half net profit growth of 85.6 percent and 111.3 percent year-on-year respectively.
Guangzhou Airport reported a 10.9 percent year-on-year increase in first half aircraft movements to 164,600 while passenger and cargo throughput increased 13.2 percent and 34.32 percent year-on-year respectively to 21.09 million person-times and 547,800 tons.
Revenue from its aviation business rose 12.8 percent year-on-year to 1.51 billion yuan in the first half with gross margin of 23.67 percent, down 0.43 percentage point year-on-year.
Revenue from its aviation-related business and non-aviation business in the first half rose 69 percent and 31 percent year-on-year respectively to 930 million yuan and 410 million yuan.
