14 Landmark Food Streets to Be Built Before the Asian Games

Sources from the Guangzhou Municipal Economic and Trade Commission said 14 food centers in twelve districts or county-level cities had been designated to be the landmark food streets. The 14 food streets will differ from other food centers in commercial atmosphere, consumption structure, habit, and characteristics, etc, showcasing a new trend characterized by the combination of the style of traditional and fashionable food.
According to a responsible person of the METC, the 14 food streets will offer Chinese cuisines which highlights lingnan style, and also western dishes to cater to the tastes of foreign guests to the Asian Games.
However, the Shibohui Food Court in Tianhe, which is perhaps the best among the 14 food streets in the future, will not open until January 1, 2011.
The 14 landmark food streets are as follows:
Huifu Food Street in Yuexiu District
Shamian Europe Custom Food Court in Liwan District
Guangzhou Food Garden in Liwan District
Taigucang Waterfront Food Court in Haizhu District
Tiyu East Road Business Food Street in Tianhe District
Shibohui Food Court in Tianhe District
Baiyun Road Food Court in Baiyun District
Fengle North America-style Food Street in Huangpu District
Seafood Street in Nansha District
Panyu Road Food Street in Panyu District
Huadu Food Custom Street in Huadu District
Luogang Food Street in Luogang District
Conghua Hot Spring Food Street in Conghua District
Ecology Food Garden in Zengcheng District
