Starting Oct. 11th, Guangzhou will gradually start adopting a series of special "Asian Games" security measures in coach stations, railway stations, metro stations and at the airport.
These measures were announced yesterday (Oct. 10th) by Li Dongsheng, the leader of Security Coordination Group. 132 check-points will be set-up across the city including at the docks and along the waterways. Country roads and mountain paths will be patrolled and weapons or dangerous substances shall be confiscated.
