Organized by the Consulate General of South Korea in Guangzhou and the Korean Tourism Organization, the first Korea Week will open with the Korean National Day Banquet on October 21st and last until October 31th.
On October 22nd, Chinese citizens will compete in preparing traditional Korean cuisine whilst Koreans living in Guangzhou will attempt to cook Chinese food. The winner will receive a five-day tour to South Korea. During the festival, five Korean restaurants in Guangzhou will offer 20% discounts (coupons available at the Korean Tourism Office) and the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw.
The Korean Winter Tourism Promotional Event will also be held on October 23rd and 24th in Popark shopping mall near the Guangzhou East Railway Station. It shall promote skiing holidays with a number of different exciting events scheduled.
