On Nov. 25, Guangzhou Planning Committee deliberated and approved the urban planning program in Shunde Commercial District of Panyu New City, which means Panyu CBD with an area of 1.5 sq.km. will come into being.
In accordance with "Guangzhou Overall Urban Planning (2010-2020)" Outline, the secondary public center in Guangzhou Panyu New City will be built in the south of Guangzhou Central Area and in the north of Panyu Area in the future. Panyu New City will be comprised of Deshun Business Area, Chimelong Leisure Tourist Area and Hanqi Business Trade Service Area.
It is reported that the deliberated and approved planning program in Shunde Commercial District of Panyu New City, located in the south of central axis of Guangzhou New City, is an important node in the Guangzhou Rail Communications Line No. 3, adjacent to Chimelong, Hanqi and Guangzhou South Railway Station.
Panyu Modern Information Service Industry Headquarter and Deshun Hotel are two major programs in Shunde Commercial District of Panyu New City, with a planning land area of 3.88 and 4.33 hectares respectively.
It is understood that Metro Line 7 and a sightseeing monorail train are planned for in the transport planning in the Shunde Commercial District of Panyu New City, with superior transportation conditions: adjacent to the city's main roads Yingbin Road and Hanqi Road, connecting Guangzhou main urban zone to the north, Panyu Shiqiao and Nansha to the south and Guangzhou South Railway Station to the west.
