Mr. Yan Jianhua, Director General of Tianhe Science and Technology and Information Industry Bureau, remarked that intelligent rooms are able to recognize the householder's identity and start the Home Mode when the householder returns home: the curtains open, lights automatically adjusted to the degree of brightness that is most comfortable, the fresh air system adjusting the air quality to the best condition, television programs automatically transferred to a custom preference, Jacuzzi automatically filled with water at the appropriate temperature; when the householders leave home, the intelligent rooms will automatically switch to the Absent Mode: curtains closed, lights off, and electrical appliances shut down, security system started, such monitoring equipments as PIR Sensor and gas sensor infrared sensor open.
According to Mr. Yan, it is planned that the intelligent transformation of major communities, avenues and Zhujiang New Town CBD will be completed in three years. The Tianhe Intelligent Business District built in the northeast of Tianhe District will gather thousands of high-end and information service enterprises in five years, with an income of over RMB 100 billion yuan, holding 100,000 employees and 300,000 residents.
