On March 2nd, Guangzhou E-Commerce Development Forum was held in Hotel Canton. According to Xie Xuening, Director of Bureau of Science, Technology and Information of Guangzhou Municipality, the Government is asking the public for advice on the development of E-commerce during the "twelfth five-year plan" period.
In the following 5 years, the economic development mode of "E-commerce center" will be established, which will popularize e-commerce in the economic and social activities. By then, over 85% of the companies in Guangzhou will utilize e-commerce, creating 800 billion yuan, 60% out of the total business volume.
During the "twelfth five-year plan" period, Guangzhou as the e-commerce center will be increasingly influential in the world. "We set the objective of becoming a global e-commerce innovation base where a bunch of leading enterprises emerge and revenue of E-service industry will reach 50 billion yuan.
