China Unicom (600050, 0762.HK) recorded a transaction volume exceeding 1.5 billion yuan via its digital sales channels in January, reports China Communication Weekly, citing an insider familiar with the matter.
The digital channels include online, cell phone and text message shopping, which according to the operator strategic plan will be another important sales channel.
According to public figures, the sales network took nearly 15 months to raise revenue from 100 million yuan to one billion yuan while it took another six months to hit 1.5 billion yuan.
