At the K trade fair, KUKA Roboter GmbH is presenting a new generation of shelf-mounted robots QUANTEC K. With its extensive range of models, comprising 11 basic robot types, the QUANTEC K series ensures that there is a perfectly suited robot for every customer-specific application. For the first time, a single robot family covers the entire high payload range from 90 to 270 kg, with reaches from 2,900 to 3,900 mm.
Automation becomes easy
The shelf-mounted robots of the QUANTEC K series make automation easier in the plastics industry: with maximum flexibility in the system planning and design phase, reduced conception and design work and greater planning security. With the latest state-of-the-art drive technology and the new KR C4 controller, the QUANTEC K robots achieve up to 25% shorter unloading times and up to 30% less energy consumption.
Compact and light
The shelf-mounted robots of the QUANTEC K series are 12% lighter and therefore much easier to mount on injection molding machines. Axis 2 is located 400 mm further forward, significantly expanding the working envelope forwards and downwards. The shelf-mounted robots are thus ideal for unloading parts from injection molding machines.
Strong and long on reach
The well-thought-out payload and reach intervals of the QUANTEC K series mean that there is an optimally dimensioned robot for every application. The QUANTEC K ultra line, with a payload of 270 kg for a reach of 2,900 mm and a payload of 120 kg for a reach 3,900 mm, is the world s strongest shelf-mounted robot with the highest power density. This robot type is thus the optimal robot even for large components or tools. The QUANTEC K prime line is the perfect robot for any application requiring lower payloads from 90 kg to 210 kg.
