Green electronics specialist ON Semiconductor has launched an offline driver for LEDs which is designed to make the technology more cost-effective than ever.
The companys new NCL30001 product is an integrated device which provides power factor correction PFC and isolated step-down AC-DC power conversion in a single stage.
It is designed to be configured for applications such as street and architectural lighting and provides advantages such as a reduced component count and superior overall efficiency.
The manufacturer states that the product has been launched to meet the growing need for such technology from clients.
