The Taiwan-based Delta Electronics Inc., a world-caliber electronic device maker, is very likely to garner new orders from the Guangdong Provincial Government, following a delegation, headed by Guangdong Governor Huang Hau-hau, visited the firm in mid-August and showed intense interest in its LED streetlights and 3D projectors.
Having diversified into green energy and own-brand projectors over the past few years, Delta has gradually seen the strategy pay off with successful penetration of China recently.
Even before the arrival of the Guangdong delegation, Delta had already signed a letter of intent with Dongguan City to help bolster use and development of energy-saving products, likely to generate huge business in LED streetlights.
Also, Huang hua-hua praised Delta`s LED streetlights while visiting the firm, mentioning that Guangdong aims to invest RMB 10 billion in solar energy, LED lighting and electric cars in the next five years.
Also impressed with Delta`s 3D projectors, Huang promised to procure the products for the 2010 Asian Games 2010 to be held in Guangzhou November 12-27.
