Equipment maker Csun steps into LED supply chain

Csun Manufacturing has developed solutions to produce patterned sapphire substrates for LED chips, and cut into the supply chain of major Taiwan-based LED chipmakers including Epistar, Formosa Epitaxy and Tekcore, according to the equipment supplier.

Csun mainly makes equipment used in the production of PCBs and LCD panels, which accounted for a combined 81% share of its 2009 revenues.
