PKU sets up Center for International New Energy Strategy

Peking University, Mar. 10, 2011: The inauguration of PKU Center for International New Energy Strategy was held in Qiulin Lecture Hall on March 2. Professor Wu Zhipan, PKU Executive Vice President, and Prof. Wang Jisi, Dean of PKU School of International Studies jointly veiled the plaque for the institute.

Based on studies of international politics and its close attention to the development trend of world new energy, Center for International New Energy Strategy will focus on the analysis of new energy strategies of those countries with high energy consumption in the world, and provide assessment and consulting service of international new energy cooperation for related departments and companies in China.


The aim of the institute is to gather experts and scholars both inside and outside the university in the field of international relations and new energy strategy and technology, and to connect concerned government departments and new energy companies home and abroad, thus creating a interdisciplinary and interregional research platform, and becoming a world famous service center of academic studies, information exchange, and the cultivation of talented students in the area of international new energy strategy and international cooperation.


Scholars of PKU School of International Studies, experts and advisors from well-known domestic new energy enterprises are also present at the meeting. The establishment of the Center for International New Energy Strategy marks that the combination of new energy industry and study in China has entered a new stage, which has great significance for the development of new energy and the change of China's economic structure.
