Forte Becomes Constituent Stock of MSCI China Index

Shanghai Forte Land Co., Ltd. ( Forte ; Stock code: 2337), one of the largest property developers in Shanghai, is pleased to announce that it has been added to Morgan Stanley Capital International ( MSCI ) China Index, effective as of the market close of May 31, 2005.
MSCI, a leading provider of global equity indices and benchmark related products and services to investors worldwide, covers companies with solid operational results and growth potentials. MSCI indices have become the most widely used benchmarks for international equity fund managers worldwide. Changes to the MSCI index series often lead to adjustment or rebalance of portfolios of a large number of institutional investors.
